Colorado again

A second HPS case has been registered in Colorado. The patient is hospitalized. Condition undisclosed.

Both cases in the state are local. They have nothing to do with the cruise ship.

A reminder

Health officials warn again: be careful when cleaning. Especially where rodents may live.

Hantavirus is not just about a cruise ship in the news. It lives near us. In sheds, garages, country houses. The risk is real.

Symptoms appear 1–6 weeks after exposure. First — fever and body aches. Then — sudden shortness of breath. Delay can cost a life.
