Recent cruise ship outbreaks have reignited global fear. One question still goes unanswered. Sick passengers on international cruises are raising alarms.

Diseases spread fast on these ships. Most travelers know Norovirus. But now Hantavirus shows up too.

How are they different? Health authorities take this seriously. The two viruses spread in unique ways.

They target the body differently. And their risks vary a lot. So what exactly is Norovirus?

It is a common cause of stomach bugs. People get it from contaminated food or water. Sharing space on a cruise helps it move fast.

Over 100 people fell sick on a Princess Cruises ship. The CDC reports 102 passengers and 13 crew members became ill. The sick were quickly isolated from healthy travelers.

Common signs include sudden vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and stomach cramps. They hit hard but often happen fast.
